Help to choose tripod for $400

Looking for a tripod and Arca-Swiss compatible head before a trip this summer. My budget is up to $400--pretty hard limit there. I'd like something relatively compact and light, would need to be able to use it with up to my D7100 with a grip and a 70-200 f/2.8 or 300 f/4. Looking at the MeFoto Globetrotter in carbon fiber which seems to get good reviews. Seems like the head is not as good as the legs so that could be upgraded down the road. Anything else I should consider?

Not sure what the cost will be in the US but see if you can find manfrotto 'pods - and also worth seeing if you can get feisol 'pods over there as these are excellent, but suspect may be outside your budget.

Yes, Feisol is a very good suggestion
as they have an extended system!.

Manfrotto too but rather more complex.
