Cant go wrong with 50Mb/s. Anyone got a slower link, say 2M?
 
Approx 1.6mb here at work, and it takes forever to load - I would probably browse elsewhere.

Sorry it's not what you want to hear, but it does confirm your suspicions.

I am in the middle of implementing some content caching mechanism, hopefully when this is done, it will speed up the loading.

David, just as we speak here, I hope I have found the way to speed up photo browsing.

Hopefully you will see a noticeable speeding up from now.

The gallery pages now open very quickly, and the image turnaround is quite quick, but the links to galleries from www.jingphotography.co.uk are still very slow.
 
Ok. At least this solves 80% of the issue. Very happy :D

I guess the slowness is due the number of photos and the number of auto redirections.

Put it simply although my website is still hosted in middle US, there is a 3rd party provider to feed the content transparently. They have better bandwidth and are in Europe.

If you're (or anyone) interested I am happy explain more.
