in 6mm diameter.

I'm pretty sure the ones I have came from either Toolstation or Screwfix but I'm bu99ered if I can find them on either site! Does anyone know what they're actually called and/or where I can get a dozen or so of the things?

You use this type of bolt for hanging wall mounted sinks, so a wall mounted sink set would be the thing to look for :)
Though maybe a bit thick, normally about 8mm

THANK YOU! I've added them to my bookmarks and will give them a bell on Monday - stainless is even better than the mild steel ones I've got (the nuts and washers I'm using are stainless but the bolts [so far] aren't but since it looks like their box quantity is 100, I can replace the ones I used last year before they rust into place!)

Aah just seen you want M6 and these are M8...

Thanks for the links, Andy. Amazon one looks like a reasonable price for the 20 pack if the stainless ones are too expensive. The Screwfix ones are 8mm BTW but thanks for finding out what they call them! Looks like they no longer do the 6mm ones.

I could simply use wall anchors but they're all but impossible to remove once set while theses screw/bolts can be removed if necessary. They're complete overkill for holding up simple shelving brackets but with domed stainless nuts they look much better than pan-head screws!

No problems. Hope you get some sorted out.

If you a local engineering distribution/ suppliers local to you, they'll possibly have some. We've a very good local firm called K Supplies who stock all sorts of things you don't know you need :) I've picked up all sorts from them and in s quantity I wanted.

You could also look for a business with the word 'fasteners' in the name.

Precious few specialists around these days, Phil. We used to have a couple at the bottom end of town but they went to a £20 minimum order then vanished. :( Hopefully the stainless place won't be too expensive but if they are, I'll get a couple of dozen via Amazon (in mild). If I was after a massive quantity, it would be worth chasing a cheap supply down but for the relatively few I need, I could end up spending a tenner on calls to save a fiver!!!

Again, thanks to all for the help. Unfortunately the stainless ones worked out at about £50 for the 100 (inc. P&P & VAT) so I have ordered a pack of 100 from an Amazon marketplace seller (found using one of Andy's links) - only Zinc plated but should be fine for my needs and at a tenner all in, a much more attractive price! Should be enough for years to come.
