My new 350d cameras card ejector seems to be stuck down what can i do ?

try (gently) pushing the card back in
then try the eject again
 
May sound like a silly question but is there a card inserted?
The button will pop out when a card is inserted but remain "pushed in" when there is no card present.

Edit: Beaten to it :lol:
 
Can you explain a little more? do you mean it appears down when there is no card in the slot?or there is a card in the slot and it will not eject? Regards Jim, Bugg** to slow again.
 
Yes theres my card in but the button is down and I cant get the card out.

Jade, there seems to be a good chance that the mechanism that ejects the card is bust but fear not, it is still possible to remove it but you will need a pair of pliers - and no, I'm not joking! If you grip the card (gently) with a pair of pliers you can (gently) ease it from the camera. Once out you might be able to see whats happened to the eject mechanism (although I doubt very much you'll be able to repair it).
 
thanx ill have a go in abit then looks like it can go in for repair tomorrow
 
well its new to me its seccond hand but was fine earlier god knows what ive done to it
 
right card is out its goin to go in for repair asap
 
well its that or i have to take my card out manually every time which may be what i do until it goes in for repair
 
Dont take the card out, why do you need to, mine hasn't left my camera in 2 years, all that in and out, wearing contacts away, whats the point, unless you shoot 11tybillion shots in a day.
 
Hehe, my mum tried to push the CF card into my parents Canon s50 last year THE WRONG WAY!

Needless to say she bent a pin and ended up shorting the camera, It was an expensive fix if I remember correctly.

because to upload my pics i put my card into my computer
 
you oculd just plug the camera into the computer and do it that way, saving using pliers everytime, just a thought
 
if theres any chance it's an 'extreme III' sandisk card...i have the exact same problem, but what you do is you have to get your fingernail wedged into the card's grove and pull, comes out easily, just a bit slow with the mechanism. xxxx
 
it was in perfect working order when it left here other than the polarisor being stuck. sorry.
