HELP please

It looks a good price to me and the seller has plenty of positive feedback. Is there any chance you can collect personally and check it out before you part with your hard-earned?

I'd ask the seller about the estimated number of exposures though.

Looks good & the feedback & fact that they say pickup is ok seems genuine.
I would definately try my best to go pick the cam up if it was me, wouldn't be comfortable parting with that kind of money over ebay (auction hi-jacking, etc) unless the seller was fully verified (Kerso, etc). Good luck with the auction (& breaking the news to "her indoors").

As stated - looks very respectable, but try to complete the transaction face to face. A Great camera, but also alot of money to lose.

Goodluck - on all fronts ;)

Im lucky the seller lives only 50 miles from me,
so it will be face to face and i will ask about
estimated number of exposures.
looks like im getting a new camera

BIG GRIN

Thanks guys, i'll let you know how i get on

Exciting stuff! :) I'm not sure whether the 5D has an estimated shutter life of 100K or 150K exposures? I think it's the former, but either way it's a lot of exposures. If it was new in May then you wouldn't expect it to have seen a lot of use, but there's a lot of difference between possible heavy pro use and amateur use even in that short period, so that's something to check on and you'll have a better idea when you've met the sellers.

Sounds good though, I hope all goes well for you.

I went and picked this up today from a very nice couple
(loads of coffee and a good chat)
im over the moon now, pics to follow, and maybe a pic
of my black eye (her in doors found me out). lol

ps showed them the forum, so hopefully two new members.

Congrats - would love to get one of these myself :)

The 5d has a 100k shutter life - same as 30d

You'll love it - great buy ;)

Jon

It's good when it all turns out nice. I have a warm glow now!

Enjoy. (but you know you should've bought a nikon ;) )

Love it! A guy who doesn't mess around - straight in with both feet! :D
