Help please with an old photo

This is my mate Jack, I am sad to say the poor old fella is no longer with us. His mum has asked if I could scan this old photo of him and enlarge it ( a lot).
As you can see its not the best quality and I don't have any software good enough to make the best of it. Therefore could anyone help and make the best of it for me? I have it in jpeg format after scanning it in and could e-mail it to you if you drop me a pm with your e mail address. Thanks folks.:help:

Is this the highest res you can scan at Gary? or is there a bigger version.

Hi Wayne, No this is the best I can do, the orginal photo is 6x4, I scanned it on my little epsom multi function printer and uploaded it thats all I could do. you have already made it 10 times better, I was afraid I was going to loose his head in amongst the background foliage:thumbs:

With a 6x4 image you should be able to scan at 300dpi (possibly more).

That would result in a much larger image than you posted.
