This is a bit of a long shot but TP members can often help so I will ask.

I have just been given the remains of a calendar nibbled by a dog as someone recognised one of my pictures but all the contact information has gone.

In fact this calendar has six of my pictures in it and although sold they have not been sold for calendar use so I would like to track down the company.

It is (was) a calender from July 2008-Dec 2009 with a family wall planner included as well and the wall planner has Petzone Publishing on it. The "pet" is in green and the "zone" in white with a sort or target inside the o

I have not been able to find them via the internet and would appreciate help if anyone recognises this make

This particular calendar was for Dobermanns but I would guess they do other breeds as well

Found this fairly easily

http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk/issues/821911/supplements/578/page.pdf

Right hand column near the top 2 x entries its the notification in the London Gazzette from companies house K (explanation here)means that the annual accounts were submitted to companies house for the previous year so they still exist or they did until 10/02 this year.

Company number 06393528 so used that to search for the company at Companies House

But alas looks like they are no longer a company as the 2008 accounts were the last submitted and the next ones are overdue info here

So looks like your out of luck I'm affraid :(

The property has been in the same ownership, as far as I can ascertain, since 2004 and is now the address for a games website but that does not help me much :(

The property could have been rented anyway or thats what they will claim as its a usual trick when you own a premises is to then own it under 1 name then rent it to the day to day business and charge rent, easy way of releasing money from a business.

The Companies House information shows that the company still exists and is active but there is a proposal to strike it off the register. This will have been made under s652a Companies Act 1985 which requires that the directors declare that the company has no outstanding liabilities, ie should have settled all known ones before making the filing.

If they have used your photographs without consent you're an unpaid creditor so send them a letter and invoice, copied to the Registrar of Companies. That should stay any striking off until they have paid you off. :D

Looking at the page in the Gazette which Matt found, it looks as though that was the routine publication of the notice to strike off, which is intended precisely to flush out any unpaid creditors. In order to strike-off rather than file for liquidation, the company must be solvent so they can afford to pay you.

If I were you I'd give Companies House a call and explain the situation - they're very helpful.

Thank you, I will. They would have bought the images from microstock sites but on a standard licence, this use would have required an extended licence and cost a lot more which is why I wanted to go after them. I have now realised that they used seven of my images not six, two of them are very similar.
