help please on improving my pic

i really like this pic but the pale section where the bees antennae are really bugs me. i've tried several times in cs3 to clone, heal etc to make it the same as the green background but it's harder than it looks.
any help and instructions so i can do it to the full size image greatly appreciated. thanx again.
