so when I go to export my image i'm unsure what ICC profile to select...for example which one should I use when exporting to photoshop? a jpeg for the web? or to print from my home printer or professional print? my monitor is a DELL U2515H and is tuned at 99% sRGB from the factory, under colour management and ICC profiles it is: DELL U2515H colour profile, D65 (default) iv noticed this profile is available in the ICC profile under the recipes tab in capture one, should I be using this one?? any help explaining this would be much appreciated!

Stop posting in black text.. those of who use the dark theme can't read it!!

Web = sRGB
Photoshop = Adobe RGB1998 in your case as you have a wide gamut panel and you're using a suitable .ICM profile for it.

Sending a file to lab... ask the lab. Some ask for sRGB, some will provide a profile.

Actually.... now I've squinted carefully at the unreadable text, it appears you have a sRGB gamut panel. You'll see no advantage in using Adobe RGB1998, but as you're correctly colour managed in Photoshop you can still use it... you'll just not be able to see the extra colour gamut available in the profile. However, if you produce images in Adobe RGB1998 and view them in anything that doesn't honour the colour profile they may appear desaturated on your panel, so sRGB may be a safer bet unless you're knowledgeable about digital workflow.

I'll chalk up your other comment to having a bad day.
