Hey all,
I been trying to process this image for a couple of hours now, everything I do makes it seem like i've cut the mountains and clouds out of different photos and pasted them together (which I haven't). Anyone got any tips to try and correct this?

Looks good to me too  Doesn't appear cut out to me!

You have a thin white line on the top and left edge though !

Nice shot!

I can see what you mean. the sky looks as though it could have been dropped in. It's the effect you can get with a composite that has a sharp edged mask..

If it does concern you, In Photoshop or similar go in at high mag 100-200% and simply clone a very small portion of sky onto the mountain tops. Do it as a running clone, so that you are copying a few pixels from the sky to the peaks. Don't be to precise, but be careful not to overdo it. A couple or three pixels is all it really takes.

I lke the shot as it is .. Impressive

I'll give that a quick go Chappers, thanks!
Maybe I've been looking at it too long...

Thanks!

i find the more i look at it the better it gets! i can tell it has not been cut in by the right hand adge of the mountains!

I can see what you mean, Mr. Orb, but I think it's just down to good focus.

I actually think the problem is the middle bit where the light is hitting the middle peak and slightly backlighting the right hand side of the left hand peak, its giving a greater impression of separation than the rest of it, but it really does look fine and a very dramatic image

For me that works fine. No problems at all, it's a very dramatic shot and I like it

You're probably focusing too much on that small centre peak with the white bits, and a short length of the other peak rising to the left of it, pretty much as Yv said. It appears to be too sharply defined for something of that distance. It needs the separation blurring a bit to make you happy, even though, as you said, it's not a cutout.

It's still a great picture though.

I agree with Yv and think its a bit of back lighting which gives the seperation, not a problem for me though I think its great.
