Meeting a friend tomorrow and we're gonna have a picnic instead of going to a restaurant for lunch. Enjoy the weather and all that.

Now I nearly always go OTT with stuff, so a picnic for 4 people....what would you take? I have no idea other than sarnies, strawberries and tiny doughnuts....

Salad bits and bobs, fruit, savoury stuff and liquid refreshments

Pasties, pies, crisps, dips?

Beer

Best bet is to pop to an M&S and get a selection of stuff - sandwiches, scotch eggs etc...

Du pain, du vin et du boursin :D

Watch out for that harvester though

:plusone: For an M&S raid. A selection of their salad tubs, maybe a bag of leaves, some sliced meat and/or fish, a couple of chunks of cheese, some bread/rolls, puddings. Don't forget drinks, brollies and something dry to sit on. If you can, set up your spot within a fairly easy walk of a coffee place and send someone for fresh rather than drinking lukewarm from a flask.

A crate of DAB gold top, a bottle opener and a carrier bag to take away the bottle tops.

Simples!

chilled champagne of course ...!

some sliced meat

:plusone:
Chorizo, Salami, Parma Ham

Grapes to go with the cheese.
Pork pie & mustard.
For something a bit different, take some samosas, pakoras or chicken satays.

At this rate, you're going to need a shipping container rather than a basket to fit it all in

Did anyone mention wine? Every good picnic needs plenty of wine.

Thank everyone.

In the end I did a morrisons raid (and part of Waitrose lol)

We had ham and pease pudding mini stotties, pasta salad, leafy chicken salad, mini doughnuts, cocktail sausages, strawberries, clubs, cloudy lemonade, caramel nibbles...I think that was all but we had loads left lol yummy.

Was lovely just chillin in the park and having a picnic. :)
