hi all

i was shooting just in raw for some family pics, and when i down loaded from my d90 to my laptop the file were converted into NEF imige and i am having real trouble editing the images if at all, can not even edit in lite room or elements would be gratful for any help and advive as i have some good pics that will have to be deleted other wise

.NEF are Nikon raw files, not any kind of conversion. When you say you can't edit them, what exactly is happening when you try opening them into Lightroom or similar? Also, is this first time you have used RAW or has it worked before and this time it isn't?
 
fist time i have used raw alone use raw & fine together, and when i try to edit them in lite room it just says unsupported file unsable to edit
 
The D90 is a new-ish camera, depending on which version of lightroom and elements you have you may need an update.
