i need help in posting photos in a thread , ive only been a member of this wonderful forum for 5 months and in that time i've tried and failed many many times to post photos in a thread .

i've no doubt the problem is down to the major fault i have on my pc namely the faulty interface between chair & keyboard :D

yes im a complete *&^$£"@ ?# !£@?~+!! with computers

i've read the tutorial many times & still cant sort it out

2 problems i have with said tutorial

NO 1 it says copy the bb code box contents - how exactly ?

NO 2 it says you can now paste the link text by right clicking in the edit window and choosing paste - what is the edit window ?

i'll be very grateful for help on this matter but please can i have answers in plain english rather than computer speak .

many thanks in advance

To copy the BB code of your picture, firstly go to the gallery, click on the picture you want to put into the thread... underneath it will appear the words 'Photo details' and you should see the BBcode there.
Highlight the BBcode by simply clicking on it once.
Then you just literally paste it (right click) into your thread... voila! :)

On the page where you see your picture in the gallery..

like this.....

gallery09.jpg

click once on that 'copy to clipboard' button - the one marked above with a red line under it. It will seem like nothing happened but the text in the BB Code box has been copied into your computers memory and will stay there until you copy something else or switch it off.

If you now leave that page and start making a new thread on the forum you can get that text back from the computers hidden (called the clipboard) memory and put it in your message. You do that by 'pasting' it into the text you are typing. You can right click in the message box as you type and select paste on the pop up menu or even easier use the keyboard shortcut... hold down the ctrl key and press the letter V once.

I wrote the guides for people that are not so good with computers but it is hard to know exactly what people will have trouble with. Questions like this are going to be helpful to others.

Please reply if it is still not clear and I'll do some more screenshot pictures.

thanks for that robert ,
