I set up my wireless internet connection about 2 years ago, and I have lost all the info i wrote down, including the security WEP key :bang:
I have a Netgear DG834GT router with 2 desktop computers, 1 running Vista and 1 running XP.

I am now trying to connect a laptop to my network.
I can see the network, but it asks me for the WEP key.

Question is, how or where can I find the WEP key?

The wep key, unless you`ve changed it, may be on the router itself, or just google `wep key finder. It will be in Windows somewhere!

Click here to log into your router. (Unless you changed the IP when you set it up).

The default username and password for this router is

Login : admin
Pass : password

Unless you got it from Sky, in which case its usually

Login : admin
Pass : sky

You can find your WEP key in the Wireless Network Setup section in there :)

Thanks praxis and Marcel

Remebered the logging onto server info is on the back of the router :bonk:
Tried logging onto Netgear server, but half way through it just sits there.
Will try later.
