Help me decide!

Ive put a few threads up recently about changing my gear, and hopefully this will be my final one!

I currently have a 40D with

Sigma 17-70 2.8-4 OS
Sigma 10-20
Canon 55-250
Canon 50mm
Sigma 30mm

Im thinking of changing the 17-70 OS lens for the Canon 15-85mm lens, which would also allow me to sell the Sigma 10-20 as I generally use this at 15mm upwards - which would now be covered by the 15-85mm lens!

Then suddenly I thought.... why dont I consider selling everything (bar the 50mm 1.8) and buy a 5D

So....

I estimate I could get

17-70 £250+
55-250 £130
10-20 £300
30mm £300

Total ~£900

Which would go a long way towards a deposit on a 5Dii or would allow me to buy a 5D classic outright + money towards a decent lens.

If you were in my boat, what would YOU do?

Option 1) Keep 40D, sell 17-70 and 10-20 and buy 15-85mm
Option 2) Sell all the above and buy 5DMkII
Option 3) Sell all the above and buy 5D Classic
Option 4) Keep what I've got and shutup asking questions all the time on TP

I take mixed photos, landscape, portraits, and general shooting.

Any thoughts/advice would be really helpful!

Don't buy a 5d mkII unless you have L quality glass. Spend the money upgrading your glass, get the 15-85 or look at the 24-105L maybe.

Depends what you shoot, I'd say also change the 250mm for a 70-200m F4 L.

You could always bridge the gap with a used 7D until you can afford the 5D mkII.

A New body is always mouch more tempting, however I second going with the glass upgrade. The other thing with glass is that if you buy right you don't really losse money however bodies will ALWAYS depreciate !!

In answer to your options, I would look at the 24-105 - and be thinking of the move to FX at some point ;0 )

Unless the 40D is restricting you in some way I would keep it.
I would look at the following possibilties.
Sell the 17/70,10/20/and 55/250 buy a 15/85 and save up for one of the following
Canon 70/200 +1.4 TC ( which 70/200 depends on how hard you want to save), canon 100/400 or a siggy 150/500.

Keep the 10/20 add a 24/105 and then add a 70/200/100/400/150/500 -again depends on how hard you want to save and what you want to shoot.

Sell the 10/20 and 55/250 and add the 70/200 etc ( the siggy 17/70 is a pretty decent lens from memory-I did not have the OS version)
BTW I love my 24/105 on a 40D but on a 5Dc its stella( should not say that )
