Help! Lightroom 6.1.1 - Adjustment brush working intermittently

I hope I'm not alone in this - I did a pre shoot yesterday and loaded the images into lightroom. On some of the images I can use the adjustment brush to paint in shadows / light adjustments etc. With other images nothing?

I used D750 and photographed in RAW. None of the images are corrupted or display funny artifacts.

Is this a known bug or have I not done something?

Try turning off hardware acceleration.

Thanks Elliott, I have done that - it slows down the screen redraw but at least I can make and see brush adjustments! Hope that is fixed soon.
