I shot a studio shoot last night and did the rookie mistake by leaving it in ISO 400 from a previous togging session.

so all the pics were shot in raw

i had a quick scan of one two and noticed graining on the pics - with them being studio i'd wanted them to be alot sharper

so apart from despeckle on CS4 is there anything else i can do or can you recommend anything else to remove the noise?

Try the noise removal in the camera raw part (it' works with jpegs as well if you load them from bridge)

Thanks wayne

I'll give that a try. So annoyed with myself - it was a great shoot too.

Reduction in RAW should do enough on 400 ISO shots. My method (OK, not mine at all, got it from somewhere but it works for me): Set the sharpening sliders to zero first, reduce noise and re-sharpen in Photoshop. High pass filter, I find, is the best sharpening method. LR3 has outstanding noise reduction as well.

I just slide the slider in Lightroom, it really is brilliant. Try downloading the trial and have a go.

Nik softwares dfine plugin is also great!
