2 ways really if you have a card reader for your PC pop the cameras card into it, or with your camera you should have a USB cable that you can plug the camera straight into your PC

Simple:thumbs:

The cable you will need will have a normal sized male USB connector one end and a smal male the other, probably similar to this

You should have a plug charger lead, TV lead and another 'white' lead with a USB connector on one end and a small retangle on the other which fits in the camera. This is the one you need.
The camera has a connection for this lead under a small plastic flap on the side (read instructions) once connected and plugged into computer start up the software that is mentioned in your manual and then follow the instructions.

I never used the usb. I used the cf card and it worked.

Haven't looked that well to see about the cables, must look into it!!

And thanks for the help.

Yeah i got a manual, Didn't know what i was looking for at the time. So thought i would ask hear!! :)

no harm in asking :) The manual can be a bit daunting as it does sometimes assume some level of knowledge, but once you know the basic phrases it really is the most usefull thing to read from cover to cover (and I never normally read manuals!)

Frankee, i'm assuming that you are just starting to store photo's on your computer??

Quick tip, think of a system to organise your images NOW and stick to it. You really don't want to find your hard drive in a mess after you got hundreds of images on there and you can't find what you want!

Oh and get yourself a USB card reader to stick in your kit, then you can view photo's on a PC without using the power in the camera.

Happy shooting.

Frankee, if you intend to download your pictures direct from your camera and not via a card reader, you'd be well advised to read the instructions that came with your camera first. Depending on your system it's likely that you'll need to install the software that came with you camera before you connect it to your computer.

I got an external hardrive, so i'm gonna store the photos on there :)

Also my mum was going to get me a laptop just for my photos because i think shes worried incase i loose them or something, so yeah anyone know any good cheap laptops, but then again i have this external hardrive.

I find that the problem with laptops is that the colour/contrast etc changes on the display according to how it is tilted and if I have it on my lap or on a desk etc.

With a PCs Monitor the display is more stable and, IMO, easier to calibrate.

Use the external HDD for storage but also back them up to DVD now and again.... recapturing a moment frozen in images is not really possible if they get lost.
