I am going away for a couple of weeks and am not sure what kit to take with me!., I think traveling light will be key but tis nice to take a nice range of lenses.

What i have in stock is
18-55 kit
35mm 1.8 prime
50mm 1.5 prime
28-70 2.8 Sigma
55-200 4.5-5.6 (i think)

should i take a flash??... SB-900 not to sure on that?

bit of a silly question but i just can't think what i should take and why?!.. Not sure what stuff i'll be shooting so can't deciede what to pack!.. the D300s is defo coming with lots of cads and spare battery..

HELP

cheers

Alan

It depends on what size of bag you have, I would think the 28-70mm 2.8 would be good. I generally take everything in one smallish shoulder bag that holds one lens and camera. take the flash if it will fit too..

Where are you going and what sort of shooting will you be doing. You can be covered with 2 lenses from 18-200 so that's perhaps the most efficient and then get the 50 for low light if need be. If you can, I'd take it all but I'm assuming your talking about hand luggage on a plane so weight is an issue but your allowed 6kg I think, more in some places so weigh it and if your going with someone else persuade them to take anything that goes over.

You have a few options there, mostly in similar focal ranges. I'd probably take the 35 and the 55-200 personally, but I'd be tempted to take the kit lens if you think you'd like something wider for landscapes.

I didn't take a flashgun with me when I went travelling and didn't really miss it.

The 28-70 is a defo coming with me. the other are all great lenses in their own right.
I am not sure what i will be shooting. The most part will be in the day time as i don't really want to carry my big camera around with me at night....or after i've had a few beers.

I am just going to be taking a little sholderbag.

Possible the 18-55, the 28-70 and the 55-200 might be the winner combo.. sad to leave my primes out though.. :-(
