Hmmm....

Perhaps people don't like me anymore!

Anyway, for the benefit of everyone I searched the net for some presets and I found this excellent site where you can download hundreds of them and there are some that are pretty close.

Here's the link:

it looks a bit cross process to me, could be an action, trouble is there millions of them around.

When I saw your message yesterday I thought Wayne would be the best one to answer it :)

There are so many actions, many created by photographers for specific purposes and I have found that very few of those you download give anything even close to the sample images, probably because when I tried them the image I started with was too different.

Yeah I think I'm just going to use a lightroom preset and adjust to get close to that.

There's a strong presence in blue and yellow so I'm just going to play about based on that, see what I can come up with...

Its for a wedding set so I doubt very much I'll be using PS.

Any more direct help in getting that look (particularly with LR is most welcome!)

It's hard to recreate the look exactly as your lighting, exposure etc is going to be different and keeping it consistent is going to be hard. Like you I've downloaded a few LR actions when I wanted to attempt this look last year. Have a look at this if you want to try something without an action:

I'm using LR4 now - in LR3 when I added a preset I could see what it did - in terms of sliders, tone etc - and I could adjust and create my own variation. But some in LR4 I can't find how to adjust how its changing the image - am I not looking in the right places or are some presets not able to be adjusted? (I'm thinking of vintage ones where its added a tone but not made any changes to the split toning or to the tint/temp, or added a filter - so how has it changed the tone?).

I think this will be a self-made custom preset by the photographer.

There are some good vintage presets from OnOne that are free - they may let you get close then tweak to suit your shots?

PS. Thanks for the above link - will take a better look later.
