Help from the Hive mind rotary cutting disc needed

Screwfix have some blades at 85mm with enough teeth that you might not kill yourself, you could put a suitably sized nut and bolt through it and put that in the chuck.
They have one at 115mm too but it doesn't have many teeth and thus looks deadly used in a drill....lol



someone else has recommended a multi tool which actuall looks a great idea
so ordered a cheap screwfix one :-)

Yep, I thought maybe you didn't have the room for a multitool or looking for a one off cheap fix.
Multitool will definitely do the job, and you will use it again on a million other things, I use it to cut floorboards right on the joists, its the nutz.(y)
 
Another vote here for a multi tool , I had to cut a slot in a doorway for a wood door trim after laying a new wooden flooring and the multi tool made short and accurate work of it
