Good Morning,
I was steered here from a US site and told what a great site it was.
There is a lot of useful info here and a wealth of knowledge.
I've post a few photo's on here and the viewing figures at best have been poor.
Granted they're not the best photos in the world but if you EXPERTS don't bother to reply how can us lesser mortals expect to get any better.
I do appreciate that there is an awful lot of posting going on and you can't be expected to look at everything.
You obviously go for the names you recognise and who's photo's you know will be of a standard.
But come on guys some of us need all the help we can get.
Thanks for reading this and your feedback if I get any.
Nutty.

I don't look at the names of the people posting the photo.
I look at the title of the topic. If it interests me, I'll look. If I look at someone's photos, I'll comment on them.

Hi Nutty.

ditto the above.

Where are you posting your pics? If you post them in General Photo Sharing you may get comments or you may not. Post 'em in InDepth Critique for constructive critiques or you could try putting 'C+C please' in the title then everyone knows you'd like some comments.

Nutty,

Welcome.....

I've just checked your other posts...I'd seen a couple before...but you're not asking for C&C, just posting shots.
Many folks here will only offer C&C if it's requested so that the poster doesn't take offence....it used to happen frequently.
I'm not saying it should all go in the C&C section but it's better to ask if that's what you want.

That's just the way it is. If your pictures are sufficiently interesting to make people want to comment, then they'll comment. If not, they won't. Doesn't mean they're bad, just that there's not enough there to make people speak up. Somebody with terrible pictures is more likely to evoke criticism than someone with average ones.

You've seen the quality of some of the pictures on here, so you can imagine the levels at which people are expected to operate before getting a 'Wow, that's incredible!' comment.

Alternatively you could just be posting when everyone is busy....it happens.

P.S. And I resent being labelled an 'expert'. I'm an amateur, and proud of it, dagnamit.
