Guys

I'm having two portfolio leather binders custom made from the UK, I initially thought A2 size but when I look at the physical size of A2 they would just look to big so I am opting for 13 x 19 (A3+ I Think).

My question is which sheet paper should I get from the list below. I will have one Portfolio in B&W only and one in Color so I am looking for sheet paper for both B&W & colour.

What would you recommend??

A3+ is indeed 13" x 19" and is way too big (IMO) for a pass around album or even a coffee table book! A4 is manageable for both and any stand out images that can bear it could be spread over 2 facing pages to give an A3 image.

As for which paper, that's a personal choice and without seeing images (ideally the ones that'll be in the final books) on them, it's hard to say. Some images suit glossy paper, some matt and some lustre.

As Nod says, paper choice is a personal preference. Does your paper supplier do sample packs? If so, I'd recommend ordering a pack, cut the sheets in half and try different pictures on different papers and file these for future reference. Some pictures just work better on matt, gloss, semi gloss and all the different flavours of those that are available.
