Hi all, not sure where i should post this so feel free to move if needed?

Anyway trying to book 4 night stay around Trossachs, looking for cheap caravan/lodge/wigwam, seen cheapest around £144 for 2 adults and 1 dog although i think that is the easy bit my problem is which location to have as a base.

Can anyone advise a good central location to allow me to explore the best bits?

Never visited since i was about 6 yr old so have no idea other than searching the web, i would prefer to be right beside the east side of a loch so i can hopefuly catch a few sunsets looking west over the water with some nice mountains beind it. Having the dog means we will be walking lots, some photography but nothing else planned other than relaxing

Any input on this would be very much apreciated

the £144 looks a good deal, mind if I ask where you got this?

Mike,

Agree with Jim, either Callander or Aberfoyle are a good bet for exploring the Trossachs. We went a few years ago and stayed on the shore of Loch Achray and had a fantastic time.

Some highlights from our trip were, taking the boat on Loch Katrine and cycling back, drive through Glencoe and trip on the Jacobite train from Fort William.
