Well I joined yesterday and already posted a bunch of replies around the forums but only just noticed this welcome one, so I figured I'd do the polite thing and say hi.

I've gotten really into photography over the last year and am now obsessively trying to learn as much as I can about it. I'm an artist so I understand a lot of the creative side of it, but the technical side still holds many mysteries for me. I'm hoping that a friendly forum like this will come in useful for my questions, plus I love seeing everyone's photos.
