Hello,

It's only taken me two years to get round to making my first post, but here it is...

I'm based in the East Midland / South Yorkshire area. Now retired, so I actually have time to do something other than getting ready to go to work, going to work and being at work!

I mostly shoot digital, but I'm increasingly drawn back to film, especially black and white. I'm definitely an amateur, but hopefully improving.

Although I haven't posted, I've learned a lot from some of the threads on here, so thanks for that.

Hi Nick and welcome to TP (belatedly;) )

I see it is about 5 years since you joined but as you say you have learned a lot from your watching presence.

As you have likely noticed there is a thriving Film & Conventional sub fora, and for the record I have not shot film for a very long time.

Welcome to the forum Nick. There are a lot of other Yorkshire folk here, including myself who's now an expat living in Sussex.

It's a funny medium, because you can't just do it with a simple charcoal stick, and are at once enabled & constrained by its technicalties. But blunder & soldier on, hey? And hope to find your own expression that's meaningful to you and certain others at any given time. It'll be what you make it - to you &/or others.
