Hi all.
Please be gentle.
My name is Ravinder and I am from Fife, Scotland.
I have always admired photography but haven't done anything about it...up until this week where I've gone a little mental....
I have recently started a new job giving me more of a balanced life and I thought now is the time to fulfill a dream of mine - to get into photography
This week, I have purchased a 2nd hand Nikon D90. Always wanted this camera as it felt so right in my hands compared to some others I have held in the past and it seems to be a lot of camera for the money. I then bought a seperate Nikon standard 18-105mm lens and a fix 50mm 1.8g lens which was going really cheap on gumtree as seller was in a rush to get rid so couldn't say no. I purchased a cheap camera bag from eBay along with a genuine Nikon neck strap and an aftermarket grip strap. Also bought a spare new battery, Nikon SB-600 flashlight, cheap tripod, couple of 32gb memory cards, rechargeable batteries and charger, Cleaning kit and a D90 guide book. I've not actually spent that much as I was looking for cheap bargains. My mum isn't too happy about answering the door to be greeted by all these goodies. They haven't all arrived yet!
So over the next few days, I'll be doing a lot of reading and watching youtube videos and messing about with the camera to see what it does and what I can do. I'm looking forward to it but all the settings and the buttons on the camera do scare me as I'm worried I won't be able to get grips with it all but I will certainly try.
Thanks.
Ravinder.
