Hi all, I am new to this site, and have recently started a college course on photography. My current camera is a Nikon Coolpix L180, its a good little camera for a beginner, but now I want to get a better one, and would like some help and advice on hat to go for. I am looking at a canon EOS 1100D SLR, any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, or if anyone can point me in the right direction. I like taking pictures of speedway, animals, wildlife, plants, anything that looks nice.
Thanks:wave:

Hi Karen and welcome to TP.

Ask for camera advice and Nikon users will always say buy NIKON and Canon users will say always buy canon.
I can give you completely "impartial" advice. Always buy NIKON.

Main thing is - enjoy the forum.

Thanks for your reply arclight, so which NIkon would you recommend, a round the £300-400 mark?:)

Hello, i am Jessi from China, the new comer, nice to see u all

welcome to the forum:wave:

Its not the camera so much as the type of lenses used to capture the images you have chosen to shoot

Animals - wildlife - even speedway = long telephoto lens

Plants = Dedicated Macro lens

anything nice :shrug: -well that opens a door :lol::lol:

Les :thumbs:
