Hi.
I've just bought my first DSLR after numerous point and shoot cameras.
I got a Nikon D80 with Sigma 18-50mm and Nikon 35-80mm lenses second hand to try out more advanced photography than a basic camera will allow.
I'm a complete novice so have been trying to read up on the aspects of digital photography and have been just trying out the camera on various settings.
I'll mainly be using it for family shots and days out/holidays as I dont have a vast amount of free time to get too involved with another hobby but I hope my pictures with the Nikon will be better quality that I have previously been able to get.
This forum has been highly recommended by various people and I'm sure I'll have loads of questions to pose to the rest of the members as I go along!
