Hi, I'm steph and want to take up photography but have no idea where to start! And could really do with some help.
I currently havent got a camera..i really do not know where to start...!!
I thought i'd try this friendly looking website and see if anyone could help. I've been on various websites looking at cameras but really havnt got a clue about all these technical terms but am really serious about wanting to start photography. For example can't seem to find any explanation as to the difference between a digital slr and a brigde! I know this sounds stupid but its all very well websites explaing them but I just need a starting point and a general understanding before i can become more experienced and understand overtime all the components.
Anyway...I would appreciate any help with camera advice, heres some idea of what I would like to take pictures of and a price range if anyone has any ideas of suitable cameras just as a starting point then i would really apreciate it or any useful websites too would be good.
I'm interested in nature, wildlife, upclose shots of bugs and birds, as well as plants and flowers. I'm also interested in lanscape;garden design, fields, rivers and also upclose images of cookery;cakes, food;meals (to send off to food magazines). I'm looking in the price range of 400-550 but really as you can guess am an amateur. Also I know there maybe software and extra computer or paper etc.. costs and lens costs for trying to get started and would appreactiate any help as to what i may need to invest in thanks
. I would appreciate help as the last thing I want to do is buy a camera i know nothing about and it not be the correct camera for the photography i want to shoot.
