Hello everyone,
I am new to photography, but very interested in it. I have Canon 450D with kit lens, but desided to upgrade. Is Sigma or Tamron any good lenses?
Desided to join this site and get some useful tips.

Here is my example shot, all opinions are welcome :)

Hi and welcome.
Your focus is on the grass and the girl is a little soft. A bit of fill in flash on her face would have helped too. Can't really help with the lenses, sorry.

Sure they are OK, but apart from a Sigma Macro lens I don't really have any experience with 3rd party lenses.

I noticed that focus is on the grass then we got home, because it was very cold and windy. I used my friends Sigma lens today 70-300mm, and I am happy with it, maybe a bit to much zoom for me, but my friend is saying that this lens is worst what he have used, so I am confused.
Flash? never tried using flash at daylight. Thanks for the tip, will try at the next opportunity.

Hi Mindis and welcome to TP. I like the composition of the photo however the model is underexposed, should of used fill in flash. Also there is a spot above her head that looks like your camera sensor needs a clean.

Might be bird flying? other photos seems to be ok.
As I was taking this photo from quite far, would my camera flash helped me in any way?
