Hello, my name is Gayle and I am new here
I've been into photography for quite a few years now, I started with a Fuji Finepix s5500, and I currently have a Canon 400d which I've had for 2 years.
I'm a bit of a lazy photographer, I take pictures, transfer to my pc and then... thats it. Very few will ever see the light of day again! The few that do usually end up here http://www.flickr.com/photos/iiisecondcreep/. Although I do have a few printed off for a competition this weekend!
I'm also a bit lazy when it comes to the actual taking of pictures... my favourite type of photography is macro, for which I have a Canon 60mm f/2.8 macro and a Canon MR-14ex ring flash. I'm ashamed to say the flash more often than not gets used on auto! So I'll be looked for some advice to get the most out my flash (preferably with minimal effort
)!
I also enjoy a bit of IR photography, with my Hoya r72 IR filter. I had had that over a year before I bothered to start using it properly. Unfortunately the 18-55mm kit lens is prone to hotspots so I may be upgrading to a (2nd hand) 18-55 IS (unless anyone can suggest a similair lens that doesn't suffer from hotspots that is either cheaper and as good or same price but better?!)
My current kit consists of:
Canon 400d +kit lens, Canon 60mm macro, Canon mr-14ex, Canon 55-250 IS.
I have also recently been gifted a Nikon D1, Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 micro and Nikon speedgun sb-28.
Ok, enough waffling for now
Gayle.
