We'll im a young aspiring photographer  , I have come here to get better and get better now i am strapped for cash and only have a camera donated by my father and a tri-pod for ASDA, which most of the people on here will think im crap but, i got told by a photographer its not the camera which makes a photo its the eye, so, hello guys i hope i can pick up some tips and learn to utilize my camera to all its ability's, i have a Fujifilm Finepix A330 3.2 Megapixel camera, its basically a point and shoot camera but i have had a few good photo's out of it ;)

So :) Hello ?, I'm 15 Btw.

Nobody is crap on here!! We've all got to start somewhere ;) and yes you are right it doesn't matter how good or how much your equipment costs its still down to the person taking the shot in the first place.

Don't be afraid to ask any questions no matter how stupid you think they may be, I'm forever asking daft questions but its the only way you learn...

Hi and welcome  to the forum.

welcome Dale! dont be afraid to post and ask questions!

Hi Dale, welcome to the forum! Photography is a newish hobby for me too, so I'm still learning and this place is fantastic for that. The others are right...it is all about the person behind the camera, so get out your booklet about your camera, get to know all it's different settings and just have fun learning what it will do.

 Hey welcome on board  Feel free to ask anything you like, we're all happy to help if we can. Looking forward to seeing some pics from you Dale! :welcome:

you're right about not needing all the gear (spent a weekend in venice and my fav shots were with my phone) though having good stuff does make it easier if you learn how to use it...

Hi and welcome

Howdy :) I got my tripod from Makro...pretty much on a par with ASDA :p

Hello and :welcome: to TP Forums Dale ...

Don't forget the one thing other than photography that unites us all ... young or old ... we have all been were you are ... :D ... everyone is here to help so fire away and we'll do our best whatever the query ... ;)

:p

Hello :)

You got told right - what's in the picture is more important than the camera make. Expensive toys do make it a bit more fun though ;)

Hello! and :welcome:

Welcome! Keep asking questions so we can learn too! That's the best thing about photography, you never stop learning... something new and exciting always comes along. You're right about the equipment though, it's the 'seeing eye' and light that makes a picture, not the camera although I'm sure the modern ones can assist! Like cars really, my Astra gets me from a to b, does the job so to speak, but I'd rather be driving an Audi TT coupe in denim blue!
