Hi all,
Thought Id introduce myself. I am Angie and I am very new to photography after getting a compact Digital Camera for christmas. It now goes everywhere with me and I have had a lot of positive comments on my photos, so I am saving up for my first DSLR and hoping to get it in October for my Birthday.
So What is the best DSLR to get for your first one?

Hello Angie and welcome to TP. I'm sure you will find everybody here very helpful and friendly.
Sounds like you are getting excited about October already. You have started with a question that is almost impossible to answer. What everybody on here suggests is that you go along to a camera shop and try out a few to see which you find the most comfotable to hold and the easiest to us. It is important, because if you do find it difficult to use, it doesn't matter how good it is, you wont take any pictures.
A lot will depend on your budget, but remember the lens is as important (maybe more important) than the camera body.

Hi Angie, I'm new here as well and was in a similar position not so long ago myself. I'd have to go along with what Gordon has said, go to a camera shop and try them all to find what is most comfortable for you. I almost bought a camera based on someone elses recommendation, but once I actually held it it felt too small for me. Its well worth taking the time and trying as many as you can.
