Hello,

my name is Daniel, i'm Spanish but currently living in Belgium. I'm studying Advertising, Communication and Public Relations, but I have one passion: photography.

I've just got a DSLR camera and I feel that I need to "shoot" more and more each day. Indeed I'd love to make a profession from this passion, but there is a problem: I don't even know where and how start. I'm young and I don't know so much about photography world.

So if someone could give me some tip for "rookies", some place to go, some course, academy, or school, some contest where sending my pictures, or at least tell me his experiences in this world, I'd be so grateful.

Welcome to the site Danidrums!

In terms of this forum, there is a competition each month where a theme is set, and you have to enter a photo based on your take on this word. I too am just starting out, and I use this competition as a way of taking photos I wouldn't normaly.

Also, any photos you take, enter them into the correct parts of the forum and people will give comments and critisism that can help you for the next time!

Just go out and takle lots of photos of many varied different things - best way to learn.
