Hello to all on TPF

I am what I would call an enthusastic amatuer photographer.I have a Nikon D80 and a couple of lenses-one of which is the vr 18-200.I dont consider myself any good by most standards and indeed I have only ever taken three shots which out of thousands I have taken,that I consider good 'uns worth keeping.I hope by using this forum and the knowlege I can get and from other fine places I also belong to to further my knowlege of photography.I am also doing an open uni course in october on photography and have made tentitive enquiries about a foundation course in photography next year.Fingers crossed,that application will be accepted.

best wishes to all the members both long standing and Newbies like myself.

I too am enrolled on the OU course starting in October. Perhaps we could swop notes. :)

Hi Richmond

I would love to compare notes with you.I can then see what kind of job I am doing on the course.I am really looking forward to it and have already made enquires about an assisted foundation degree once this is done.A friend of mine did the OU course and then the foundation degree in photography and is now working in the buisness.For me that would be great.Because of an accident I had quite a while ago and one in 2006 it has limited what I can do.I know that I can manage a camera.....taking the shots is the major obsticle LOL

I wish you good luck in the course and would value any thoughts or opionions on my course work-as I would be only to willing to give you mine.
