A BIG Hello from an English man in France.
So, a little about me for those that are interested. I started my photography with a lot of encouragement from my cousin many years ago with a Canon AE1 Programme. I took many good photos which are now in a photo album waiting to be scanned once I get a decent scanner. Mainly motorsport and wildlife. My first dslr was and still is my trusty Nikon D40. Although after having both my knees replaced and then falling over in a forest chasing rally cars on the Rallye Alsace, I fell over breaking my kit lens. Finally after a few months I bought my current lens ( a 35mm 1.8) just so that I could use the camera. I was going to buy the Nikon D800 as a very big upgrade, but many people have said that it is not suitable for the photography I like. So as of now ( after I get the sensor cleaned) I am waiting to see what Nikon bring out to replace the D300. I am in no rush to buy another camera yet as I still have the use of my sons D3000 for now, and a few more lenses to buy.
I live in the east of France on the borders of Germany and Switzerland where there are many oportunities for photography. Finding the time to get out is the problem.
