Hello everyone, I have dotted in and out of photography for years, I like birds and wildlife etc, I live on the wirral in merseyside where its always sunny...NOT!!

I have renewed enthusiasm after buying a sigma 500 ef dg super and battery grip for my d70...I also suffer from serious bouts of lens lust, but dont have the finances to support my ailment:'(

Hi Paul, what do you think of the sigma 500?
 
thankyou all again for the welcome:O) and @si2400, I think it is ok, I tried my mates sb800 and liked it but to be honest, as a novice user, I cant really see any difference between them (I know that there is), but the 500 has a built in diffuser however, both flashes seemed to underexpose by about 3 stopps using i-TTL.

I got the 500 super as opposed to the sb 600 because the reviews seemed similar and the sigma has a higher power rating.
Am I happy with it...Yes:o)
