I looked around the forum and enjoyed what I saw and read so decided to take the plunge and join. I've been snapping on and off for about ten years. I'm still not completely digital, rather "semi-dry" using film and a film scanner which I bought after selling my darkroom stuff. I'm still learning Photoshop and the digital way of doing things trying to get the same standard that I used to achieve in my darkroom. My target is to attempt a licentiateship in the RSP if I can.
I'm not into hardware, I'm into photos. I'm not too keen on over manipulated digital images though admire the skill involved. I used to take mostly black and white but now almost exclusively colour. I just enjoy learning about photography and the language of pictures.
I'm sure I'll get good advice and help on the forums after reading the posts. There is always something new to learn!
