Just thought I say hello I'm new to photography and want to become the best I possibly can . Iv loved photos and iv for ever wanted to buy a camera and start up photography and a couple of weeks ago I finally bought myself my first entry level camera its only a canon 700d it will do me for now until I improve my ability through the year . I have a photography course next week and I'm so excited about it anyway just thought I say hello and tell use a tad about me lol

Hi Bradleigh and welcom. I am sire you will find lots of info and inspiration on here.

Hi Bradleigh and a warm welcome to TP.
Hope you enjoy yourself here :) and hope you're new hobby is going well and you're still enjoying it.

The 700D is a nice camera and a very good start up one - the Canon 55-250IS lens is a belter of a lens to look at and would suit your kit 18-55IS lens (if this is what you have)

No problem - not the best for wildlife due to only being 250mm, but as a walkabout zoom - cracking lens, depending on if you want new or 2nd hand, but around £180 new, £100 ish 2nd hand.

Not used he Sigma, so can't help directly - pop a thread up in the equipment about the lens with possible optional suggestions and list your budget as well (other wise you might get £10K lenses suggested :D ) Be open to suggestions, but also bear in mind, this needs to be your choice and you have to like it - "think twice, buy once" is a good motto to live by...

thank you for your help and I don't mind buying second hand I'm not fused about that lol .. I just looked on ebay and there a good price so think I would buy one may I ask what shots would they be good for ?? and you might know what lens is best for portraits under £300 second hand etc if I had £10000 I would be on holiday next to a pool with a cocktail in my hand and not sitting on the settee with my kids on this forume haha ..

Thanks for your help
