Hello everyone,
My name is Alan and I am based in East Yorkshire. I spend most of my time photographing wildlife, particularly birds, along with some macro work when the insects are around.
Over the last few years I have been gradually moving into the Nikon Z system and currently use a Z8 for most of my bird photography. I am still learning the camera and experimenting with autofocus settings and field techniques, but I have been really impressed with what it can do for birds in flight and fast behaviour.
Most of my photography happens locally around East Yorkshire and other parts of the UK, often returning to the same locations repeatedly to observe behaviour and hopefully capture something interesting.
I have been enjoying reading through the forum already and it looks like a very knowledgeable and friendly community, so I thought I would join and take part.
