Hello from windy Portsmouth

Just returning to photography after a long absence/break. Used to be fairly keen, did some semi-pro wedding photography and the pics for 40 or so magazine articles and a book I wrote. That was a long time ago! Havent picked up a camera in near 20 years.
My old Canon 35mm EOS film camera is now obsolete! Seems the lenses pretty much are as well.

Been trying to find my feet in the digital age and after trying many cameras have ended up with a Sony RX100 (the missus has grabbed that), a Sony RX10 (love it really but the wobbly lens is doing my head in), and still harking back to 35mm format just got a Canon 5D. Trouble is my couple of crusty old Canon lenses arent much good on it, and in a real quandry what lenses to get, esp as anything Full Format seems crazy expensive.

The missus and I have been taking snaps the last few weeks and bunged some on a web page as friends asked to see them. We really would welcome and respect a critique if you have time and the inclination to do so. Its here: http://www.riddlex.com/jl/

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say "hi".

PS Just realised I cannot join the Classified page until I have been a member for 60 days. As I am in the market for Canon EF lenses, any way I can see what available in that forum?

Good to have you on-board Joe. Some good shots on the link you posted. Look forward to seeing some more when you get some lenses sorted out. There is no way around the forums rules for access to the classifieds I am afrad A link HERE for more info.
 
As above welcome to TP, enjoy yourself here :)

If you put your photos up in the relevant photo section on here I'm sure you'll get some good feedback.

With regards to the classifieds, no way round it, bide your time, join in and have some fun :)

I understand re the Classifieds, its no issue, just would have rather spent my money with forum members than Amazon, but if thats what the site wants its fine with me!
