Hello. I am new to the forum although I have always found answers to my (many) questions in the past. I am Wiltshire based and been playing with my camera for a few years now but want to step up a gear in terms of quality and thinking so time to get involved!

Just wanted to say hello, thanks for all of your posts that have helped me in the past and the future.

Have a day, Fraser

Hi Fraser and welcome to the sometimes crazy world of TP. Look forward to seeing some of your work, don't be shy!:)

Hi Fraser and a warm welcome to TP.
Hope you enjoy yourself here :)

Morning, which bit of Wiltshire - it's a big county (waves from the top)

Morning all. Thanks for your welcoming messages. Had a good look round this place and really like it. I am based in Devizes so only ever about 2 minutes from a white horse!

Nice - I like Devizes, go there most saturdays on the range, browse around the shops...

Looking forward to seeing some of your local images :)

Hi Fraser and welcome to the forum

Hello and welcome from Devizes!

Welcome from Hilperton! I walk the locks quite frequently, sometimes take it for granted but we have such a range of things to shoot right on our doorstep.

D-Town in the house! nice to meet you all .

Strangley, hardly taken any pics of the locks. It is certainly easy to take the local gems for granted. Amazing that I drive through avebury each day and have only taken photos there once. It kicks stonehenges rock ass by a country mile. Maybe I need to change that.

Anyone have any hidden gems locally that are worth a try?

I fully agree about Avebury vs Stonehenge.
If you like picturesque villages then Steeple Ashton on ukaskew's doorstep is a must.
Imber isn't exactly attractive but what's left is interesting and it will be accessible for much of August.

We should arrange a local meet for some point in the future.
