Hello and my name is Marc

I'm new to this forum and have been very interested in photography for many years. I live in Hampton, West London, but originate from Marlow, Buckinghamshire.

I like taking portraits, landscapes the most. I enjoy walking, camping and kayaking.

Hi Marc :welcome:

:canon: too!

Now that was quick replies after only just joining last night. I see you also come from some nice places. Cirencester = The Tunnel House Inn, Norfolk = The Broads and Taunton = Cider. Just my little take on it.

I just enjoy photography and have done so for a number of years. I love soul music and went to a weekend event last year called Campsoul It will be its 4th year in 2014. Anyway I don't normally do this, but I thought I would take my Canon SLR along with some lenses and flash gun. Well I posted some of the Campsoul photos to Facebook and a lot of people were impressed by what I had taken. A lot of people were using compacts, so it wasn't hard. Now in March I have been asked to shoot a cycling event with 200 riders who will travel 200Km, 100Km and 50Km routes from a chap I had met a number of times at these events. As this is something I have not done before, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I have agreed to do the shoot, but I'm no pro and haven't photographed cycling before. I did go to to Goodwood Revival last year, but felt the 200mm lens I used a bit short, even though some if the photos came out well. I feel my best ones though were not moving action, but candid and portrait shots, but that's my favourite medium. Any advice from you guys would be welcome.

I'll speak in English then. My mother in law is Spanish and lived in Chiswick for 35 years. She has now move back to Torrevieja, but originally from Galicia.
