Hi all new to forum, and photography! Going through a mid life crises and need a hobby so I thought I’d take up art which I studied many years ago at college but haven’t the time so I reckon photography is the next best thing, but my god how things have moved on!! Think I have learnt move over the past evening reading through your guys posts then in the past few years reading most of the magazine publications available. I’m totally new as I say to photograph so please accept my apologise in advance as I’m sure I’m going to ask many questions which may sound silly to you guys!!

Welcome. Well, you're off to a great start living where you do. Plenty of subjects around, especially if you like landscapes

Hi Lee and :welcome: to TP. Greetings from another island! You've picked the right forum so dive in and get involved! As Sara says, the tutorials section is really helpful, while the Talk Basics sub-forum is the ideal place to ask any questions to start with.
 
Hi, Lee, and welcome. I just got back from a visit to the island a few days ago and look forward to seeing some of your photos. Your questions aren't going to sound silly unless we read them out loud in a funny voice. After all, we've all been beginners at some time or other.
