New to this forum and pretty new to photography, I have a canon IXUS 750 and just got a canon 350D which I am still learning how to use. Take koads of pictures but really want to lear about the wonders of photoshop!

Can anyone tell me how to add photos? It does not seem to want to let me! ask for a url. I thought it would be just like adding an attachment? I am sure its something simple and I am having a very blonde moment!

If you want to add pics you already have on a website somewhere, you use the yellow box that looks like a landscape pic.

If you need somewhere to upload your pics to, then click on gallery below your name on the left and you should be able to upload them to space on this site. And then link as above from there.

(Sorry - terrible explanation, Im sure someone will explain it better in a mo. :))

Thanks to all for making me feel so welcome! all I have to do is work out the photo adding thing and I will be away!
 
There's several ways you can do this...
But go to Gallery, open your pic and view it full size.

Right click on the picture to view properties which will show you the url (address) of the pic.

Highlight the url with your mouse, hit Conrol and C on your keyboard to copy the address into memory.

When you post in the thread make sure you're in Advanced Mode. Click the little symbol above the posting pane which looks like a mountain scene. This brings up a little text box.

Control and V on your keyboard pastes the address into that text box.
