My name is Paul and I’ve been around
Photography from about the age of 14 so some 39 years ish.
My grandad was a keen photographer and built his own dark room back in the late seventies and I used to spend many happy hours helping him out (probably hindering him) fascinated by the whole process.
When I was 14 I made my own pinhole camera from a cornflake box some tin foil and a 35mm camera film tube ….. the film I exposed was a Kodak 126 Cartridge and I successfully took some pictures of the back of my grandads house then developed them myself. Incidentally my tripod for the day was an old fridge in the back garden.
I still have the photos to this day ……..
My camera back in the day was a Kodak instamatic 126 which I loved and had for many years truth be told I could never afford to buy an expensive camera.
A couple of years ago my wife bought me an Olympus om-10 mark 2 with a couple of zuiko lenses which I find is a really great bit of kit I also own an Olympus pen pl1 which is really an early version of the digital om series but far simpler to use incidentally I bought this from eBay for about £15 (bargain) all my lenses and batteries are all interchangeable.
I picked up an analogue Olympus om camera from a thrift store I basically bought it for the lens which is a zuiko 50mm and beautiful.
My photography does go in fits and starts I often have my camera with me and never even get it out but I learnt many years ago it’s best to have one with you that being the reason I bought the Olympus pen so I could carry a camera with me at all times and not worry about it being pinched too much.
My wife doesn’t understand this she thinks I don’t like my Christmas present she bought me 
I wouldn’t say I don’t know a deal about photography and I do sometimes struggle with technology but I would say I love to press a shutter and make it click and on an odd occasion I get some decent results ( more luck than management)
What I would say is I enjoy a decent walk with the dogs and occasionally stop and click my shutter and hope I’ve scored a goal !!!!!!
