Name is John, 52. My early photography interest was started by my Grandfather when I was in my early teens. My first camera was an Ilford Sportsman, followed by a Corfield Periflex 2, both 35mm.
Before long I was developing my black and white films. I built my own enlarger using 75w bulb, frosted glass as diffuser home made neg carrier and the lens from the Periflex rest was wood plastic and a quality sweet tin.
Problem with all this was after putting up the blackout mixing the chemicals, doing proof prints it was already late in the evening. All this died the death, I brought a Pentax ME super and just did slide film for many years.
I got back into more serious photography, in 2002 I joined the Shropshire Photographic society.
Currently my camera line up is 35mm Pentax LX (not being used at the moment),
Medium format Mamiya 7II, Agfa Record III, Mamiya RZ67, large format (5x4) Graflex Crown Graphic, Digital Pentax K10D & a cheap Agfa compact. I would like the Pentax K5 when money allows.
I tend to use digital for colour and film for black and white. Main interests are landscape people and architecture (shift lens on RZ67 is great for this).
Not done much photographically since Boxing day as I broke my arm
