Hello from Nottingham

Hi all
just joined having got myself a canon 60D and canon 18-200 lens over the holiday period. Had a Nikon D40 before that and although got some great shots I never really used it that much although I really wish I could get in to photography and have for some time so I thought I would blow my xmas presents and buy an upgrade.

I also have a Nissin i622 flash and a polarising lens.

A fellow member GITZO29 has been very helpful to me and suggested I join talk photography so here I am... any feedback on how I can "get going" would be appreciated, its finding the inspiration to know what to photograph especially in these current dull and drizzly days...

Hi Paul

Welcome to TP and you have a good start with your Canon.

Just take a look though the critique section for ideas (and don't forget to comment or give your opinion as you pass though) or take a look at the Meeting place section of the forum to see if anyone is arranging anything in your area. If you want to do just post a message in the relevant thread, quite often on these meets a few people have already met but the majority have not and they are a good opportunity to get to meet up and learn from each other
