I thought I'd drop in and introduce myself, I'm dave and I live in central manchester. I've got a Nikon D50 with an 18-200 and I'm supposed to have an sb600 in the post (it should turn up any day now). I'm saving the kit lens to sell with the D50 when I decide to upgrade and I've also got an older nikon 70-210 I really ought to put on ebay at some point
I'm trying to make myself use the manual options more, having read "understanding exposure". I'm trying to consciously decide which aperture and shutter speeds I want to use, rather than just let the system make it's own mind up.
I guess being a geek, I like reading the tech stuff as much (or sometimes more?) than actually taking the pictures, so I'm trying to find time to actually go and take the pics too.
